The interchange heat exchanger is a plate-type liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger that has an 80% effectiveness when operating with 3.0 gpm balanced desiccant flows.  The plates of this heat exchanger are made from a  5 mil, thermoformed plastic film that can operate at 300 F.  Pressure drops on each side of the heat exchanger are less than 1 psi at the 3.0 gpm desiccant flow. 

The interchange heat exchanger can be used in other high temperature applications where thermal energy is exchanged between corrosive liquids.  Fluid pressures should not exceed 40 psig.
